Ok so the production quality is great. The acting is bearable. The concept is fair. The biggest problem with this high end short is that the story is extremely predictable. I got the deal about one minute in. It seems like an audition piece for Hollywood commercialism. The premise could be a sketch from SNL. The sequence where the "punks" attack Tony was offensive and completely contrived. It doesn't work. Then we get a "message" from the movie that quite frankly I saw coming from the first minute. The end is especially unsatisfying after they made us sit through so much over-bloated circumstance. This was one of two films that I didn't like in a program of very strong European short films. That said, the film covers all other production and FX strongly - just keep us guessing and don't let me catch up with the very predictable and redundant movie.
