Diversity On Screen
Coffeehouse Conversation
Although I think a lot of good coverage came from this overall, I did not like the way the host dominated the conversation like a radio DJ, and had to say something after nearly every sentence someone else said. Also, he only opened it for questions from the floor 15 minutes before the end of the discussion. This involved the least audience participation of the 7/8 coffee discussions I attended.

Rudo And Cursi
Carlos Cuaron | Closing Night, Hispanic, Sports
I really enjoyed the film although I think the themes have all been seen before, brother vs brother, and the sports film that all comes down to one play. What I liked was a much richer backstory to the characters and the quality of the performances which are also a testimony to the director. Carlos Cuaron did a great job in telling the story and giving us believable characters that you cared about.

Open Call
Coffeehouse Conversation
I love these coffee chats. I wish more people came to them. I have learned little bits of wisdom from everyone of these I've sat in on.
